Marbofloxacin, the active ingredient of MARBIOTIC %10 Solution for Injection, is a fluoroquinolone developed specifically for veterinary use. It is different from other fluoroquinolones due to the oxadiazine ring in the structure of marbofloxacin which acts by inhibiting the DNA-gyrase enzyme. This ring provides to molecule a long elimination half-life and good bioavailability.
